The EFID workshop “Exchange of practice and development of indicators to capture change” draws from the interest shown by participants in the Dublin workshop 2015, to explore indicators to communicate the value of their projects. The discussion will build on the pillars (1. raising awareness; 2. inclusion, involvement, participation; 3. building strategic networks) that emerged from the research commissioned by EFID and undertaken by the Mental Health Foundation.
The event will take place in Bruges, on 10 and 11 May 2016. The workshop is expected to provide a stimulating networking and learning space to reflect on how to show the impact of different dementia-friendly initiatives in Europe. The workshop will also aim to consolidate the EFID network of practitioners of dementia-friendly environment projects. EFID will present the newly published research and mapping of ‘dementia-friendly communities’ across Europe. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to hear from the Flemish Minister for Welfare, Public Health and Family about the new Dementia Plan for Flanders 2.0. EFID awardees supported by the capacity strengthening fund (CSF) in 2015, will share the learning gained through the joint-projects and go-and-see visits.
